Rescued from the auction block by an investor from Kentucky, the mall ias still imperiled by a prior court ruling that was made against the Former Owners. To this day many think that demolition is the best solution, perhaps not realizing that the Cost To Demolish Then Build A New Mall Or a Residential Project could easily reach up to a $100 MILLION dollars

AND take years to secure the financing for the project, not the solution the new owners or the neighborhood needed.

So A New Vision was created... Repair, Renovate And Remodel The Current Structures. First locate and secure new tenants that will be a good fit for the community itself, not the "Big Box" Retailers that are more and more moving to ECommerce as their primary sales model.

The New Owners understood that the space needed to focus on the needs of the community if it was to survive and thrive. This thinking was re-enforced by the engagement of a new locally based Project Manager. After learning that the smaller capital needs could be easily obtained for the repairs and renovations that would be needed, the next piece of the puzzle that was required was a re-defining of what the new tenant base should consist of. From previous community meetings a List Of Targeted Tenants had been culled; a grocery store/fruit & vegetable market, a coffee shop, a restaurant, 

a beauty & hair care shop, office/professional services centers (health care, legal office, chiropractor, physical therapist,

etc), a micro brewery/distillery, a gym/fitness/training center, and an arts/community center!

The new Project Manager also added in a space for co-op/partnership styled tenants that will make the Gault Village Mall a destination location in the state! Great choices for Phase One of the Re-Imagining Project!
